Green Recovery Technologies LLC introduces ECO PURETM a revolutionary end-to-end process for chemically separating proteins and fats from meat and plant waste streams

PRESS RELEASE DATED: March 10, 2020

New Castle, DE – Green Recovery Technologies LLC (GRT) is pleased to announce the commercial availability of its ECO PURETM advanced biomass pretreatment and separation technology suite.  At its core, ECO PURETM consists of a two-step process and two primary product outputs:

  • ECO PREPTM is a defatting and aeration process that converts high moisture, bioactive, commingled feedstock streams (consisting of mostly protein, fat and water) into bioinactive, shelf-stable feedstock for downstream chemical processing.
  • ECO SEPTM is a chemical separation process that isolates and separates proteins and fats originating from the meat and plant food processing industries, while retaining the nutritive benefits of the protein and the energy benefits of the fats.
  • The ECO PURETM technology suite produces highly digestible proteins (referred to as ECO PROTM) and high energy fats (referred to as ECO OILTM)

The ECO PURETM ecosystem was primarily developed for captive and partner use for converting dissolved air floatation solids (typically 90%+water) from the poultry industry, but has been used on similar wet organic biomass streams from various animal and plant primary and further processing operations as well.  In general, feed with a temperature sensitive solid (e.g. protein), a binder (e.g. fat), and a high water content (50-90+%) with or without biological activity present could benefit from this ecosystem.  GRT has studied in great detail the relationships of bulk, interstitial and intracellular water and fat in biomass streams and the ability to disrupt this structure to create sterilized, shelf stable feedstock without the use of conventional thermal drying.  Thus, GRT’s ECO PREPTM process was established.  GRT’s ECO SEPTM process is then capable of chemically separating materials produced by the ECO PREPTM process into highly digestible proteins (ECO PROTM) and energy-producing lipids (ECO OILTM)

The ECO PURETM technology suite has been successfully implemented by several meat processors and GRT is poised to begin offering this revolutionary technology to key strategic partners on a project by project basis.  Interested parties should contact GRT to determine if there is a good fit between their needs and GRT’s technology platform.  Feel free to contact GRT’s President & CEO at the contact information below or for more information, visit https://greenrecoverytech.com.

Green Recovery Technologies LLC introduces ECO PREPTM a revolutionary non-thermal dehydration process for preparing biomass feedstocks for further processing

PRESS RELEASE DATED: December 15, 2019

New Castle, DE – Green Recovery Technologies LLC (GRT) is pleased to announce the commercial availability of its ECO PREPTM advanced biomass non-thermal dehydration and stabilization technology. At its core, ECO PREPTM is an aeration process that converts high water, bioactive, commingled feedstock streams (consisting of mostly protein, fat & water) into bioinactive, shelf-stable materials without the need for traditional thermal drying.

The ECO PREPTM process was primarily developed for captive and partner use for converting dissolved air floatation solids (typically 90%+water) from the poultry industry, but could be used on non-dissolved air floatation wet organic biomass from animal & plant primary and further processing operations as well. In general, feed with a temperature sensitive solid (e.g. protein), a binder (e.g. fat), a high water content (50-90+%) with or without biological activity present could benefit from this technology. The feed can be flocculated or non-flocculated, with non-flocculated streams requiring less aeration energy to achieve finished goods results. GRT has studied in great detail the relationships of bulk, interstitial and intracellular water in biomass streams and the ability to disrupt this structure to create sterilized, shelf-stable feedstock without the use of conventional thermal drying.

The ECO PREPTM process has been successfully implemented for several meat processors, where GRT’s quality process includes the use of GRAS polymers for coagulation, additives to promote fat stabilization and the diligent management of material out-time. GRT is poised to begin offering this revolutionary technology to key strategic partners on a project by project basis. Interested parties should contact GRT to determine if there is a good fit between their needs and GRT’s technology platform. Feel free to contact GRT’s President & CEO at the contact information below or for more information, visit https://greenrecoverytech.com.

Green Recovery Technologies LLC introduces BIO PURETM a revolutionary end-to-end process for biologically pretreating and separating proteins and fats from meat and plant waste streams

PRESS RELEASE DATED: March 10, 2020

New Castle, DE – Green Recovery Technologies LLC (GRT) is pleased to announce the commercial availability of its BIO PURETM advanced biologic pretreatment and separation technology suite.  At its core, BIO PURETM consists of a two-step process and two primary product outputs:

  • BIO PREPTM is a pretreatment process that prepares a high moisture, bioactive, commingled feedstock streams (consisting of mostly protein, fat and water) for downstream biological processing.
  • BIO SEPTM is a biological separation process that isolates and partially digests the proteins from the commingled stream. Additionally, fats are biologically converted to fatty acids and separated for further processing.
  • The BIO PURETM technology suite produces highly digestible proteins (referred to as BIO PROTM) and fatty acids (referred to as BIO FATM)

The BIO PURETM ecosystem was primarily developed for captive and partner use for converting dissolved air floatation solids (typically 90%+water) from the poultry industry, but has been used on similar wet organic biomass streams from various animal and plant primary and further processing operations as well.  In general, feed with a temperature sensitive solid (e.g. protein), a binder (e.g. fat), and a high water content (50-90+%) with or without biological activity present could benefit from this ecosystem.  GRT has studied in great detail the relationships between water content and source biological activity.  Enzymes are utilized to prework the biomass to make it susceptible to targeted biologic processing.  Biologic agents are then introduced, where certain agents partially digest the protein (BIO PROTM) and other agents consume the fats converting them to fatty acids (BIO FATM).  BIO PROTM proteins are utilized for feed, companion and aquaculture nutrition applications and BIO FATM fatty acids may also be utilized as precursors to cosmetics, fragrances and nutrition ingredients.

The BIO PURETM technology suite has been successfully implemented by several meat processors and GRT is poised to begin offering BIO PURETM revolutionary technology suite to key strategic partners on a project by project basis.  Interested parties should contact GRT to determine if there is a good fit between their needs and GRT’s technology platform.  Feel free to contact GRT’s President & CEO at the contact information below or for more information, visit https://greenrecoverytech.com.
